I think I know what’s going on- hope this helps but always see your dermatologist for advice 🤙
Step 1: at bedtime apply a layer of petrolatum ointment or La Roche-Posay Cicaplast Balm over the eyelids
Step 2: apply a pea sized amount of retinoid to the entire face
Step 3: add a moisturizer over your retinoid!

Is 0.2% Retinal non prescription (e.g The Ordinary) ok for under eyes or too drying?
Yes, same here, but I keep using a retinoid because everybody says that you should be using them. I have Scottish – Gaelic, English ancestry and at 64 probably look more like I’m 49. I’ve always had people stop me and ask me what do I do to my skin and the true answer is I’ve always just kept it moisturized and I stay out of the sun, because I don’t tan. If there’s something to this, that retinoids cause wrinkles in the eye area, I will gladly stop using them.
